KEEPING OUR COWORKING PET-FRIENDLY

We love having pets in the workspace. There is no denying that having a four-legged co-worker around can instantly brighten the mood, lower stress levels, and break the ice between members.

However, sharing a workspace with dozens of people—and potentially other animals—requires a bit of collective effort. To make sure our space remains a productive, welcoming, and safe environment for everyone (including those who might have allergies or simply aren’t dog or cat people), we’ve put together a few simple guidelines for our pet-owning community.

KNOW YOUR PET’S LIMITS

A coworking space can be a busy environment with a lot of sensory input—new faces, moving chairs, elevator sounds, and delivery couriers. Before bringing your pet in, ask yourself honestly if they will enjoy it. If your dog gets anxious around strangers, startles at sudden noises, or is overly protective of your desk, they might actually be happier and more relaxed resting at home.

RESPECT THE DESIGNATED ZONES

To keep things balanced, certain areas of the space remain strictly pet-free. Please keep your pets out of the meeting rooms, phone booths, and kitchen areas. This ensures that members holding important client presentations or eating lunch can do so without distraction, and it keeps our communal spaces clean and hygienic for everyone.

KEEP THEM CLOSE AND COMFORTABLE

While we love a friendly greeting, your pet shouldn’t be wandering the floors unsupervised. When you’re at your desk, your pet should be by your side — either on a leash or settled in a comfortable bed. This prevents them from startling a coworker who is deep in focus or accidentally stepping into the path of someone carrying a hot coffee.

MANAGE THE DISTRACTIONS

We all understand that dogs will be dogs, and an occasional bark or whine happens. However, if your dog is having a restless day, barking during calls, or showing signs of stress, it’s important to address it quickly. Taking them for a short walk around the block often helps them settle down. If they remain restless, it’s usually a sign they’re ready to head home for the day.

COMMUNICATION IS EVERYTHING

If you sit next to someone new, a quick “Do you mind dogs?” goes a long way. Some of our members have severe allergies or fears that they might not want to voice publicly. Being proactive and mindful of the people sharing your immediate desk cluster makes a massive difference.

We’re incredibly proud to be a pet-friendly space, and it’s a perk our community truly values. By keeping these basic courtesies in mind, we can keep the space comfortable for both our human and canine members.
